Who is responsible

grubisa.com is the personal website of Damir Grubisa, a technology executive based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. For privacy questions, Damir is the person responsible for personal information on this site.

This policy is meant to be clear under Canada's PIPEDA and Quebec's Law 25 (the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended). This site is a small personal and professional site, not a consumer product or a client portal.

What we collect

We only collect a small amount of information, and only for the reasons below.

Contact form

If you write through the contact form, we receive the details you enter: first name, last name, email address, company (optional), the topic you choose, and your message. Netlify, which hosts the site, also receives that submission so the message can be delivered.

Cookies and similar storage

The site remembers your cookie choice in your browser (local storage) so we do not have to ask on every visit. That record is stored on your device, not in a database of ours.

Google Analytics 4

If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 may collect information about how you use the site. That can include pages you view, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device type, and how you arrived here. Google Analytics 4 is loaded with Consent Mode v2. Until you say yes, analytics storage stays denied.

Microsoft Clarity

Microsoft Clarity loads only after you accept analytics cookies, and only on grubisa.com. If it runs, it may collect page views, clicks, scrolling, and session recordings of how the page is used so we can see where the site is confusing. Clarity is not loaded if you decline.

Technical logs

Like most websites, the host may keep ordinary server logs (for example, IP address, time, and the page requested) to operate, secure, and debug the site.

Why we use it

We use this information to read and reply to messages you send through the contact form, understand which pages are useful if you allow analytics, remember your cookie choice, and keep the site running securely on Netlify. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use contact form messages for advertising. Advertising signals in the cookie banner exist only so Google Consent Mode can stay complete if ads are ever added. They are off unless you turn them on.

Consent and how to change your mind

Analytics cookies and Microsoft Clarity stay off until you choose Accept, or until you save a choice that includes analytics. You can decline, and you can open Cookie settings in the footer at any time to change or withdraw that consent. Withdrawing consent stops new analytics use from that point. It does not erase information already processed by Google or Microsoft before you changed your mind.

Sending a contact message is voluntary. If you contact us, we use the details you provide to respond. You can ask us to delete a message after we have dealt with it.

How long we keep it

Contact form messages are kept as long as needed to reply and for ordinary professional records, then removed when they are no longer needed. Your cookie choice stays in your browser until you change it or clear site data. Google Analytics 4 event data is kept according to Google's retention settings, typically up to 14 months. Microsoft Clarity keeps session and usage data according to Microsoft's product settings, usually for a shorter period for recordings. Hosting logs are kept only as long as Netlify retains them for operations and security.

Who helps us process it

We use a few service providers (processors) to run this site. They only receive what they need to provide their service: Netlify hosts the website and receives contact form submissions; Google provides Google Analytics 4, if you allow analytics cookies; Microsoft provides Clarity, if you allow analytics cookies.

Information sent outside Canada

Damir is based in Toronto. Netlify, Google, and Microsoft may store or process information in the United States and other countries. Those countries may not have the same privacy laws as Canada or Quebec. If you submit the contact form or allow analytics, you are choosing to let that information be processed in those places so the site and those tools can work.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA and Quebec Law 25, you can ask us to confirm whether we hold personal information about you, see it, correct it, and in many cases have it deleted. You can withdraw consent for analytics cookies through Cookie settings. Quebec Law 25 also includes a right to data portability where it applies, and a right to be informed of confidential incidents that present a risk of serious injury.

To use these rights, email info@g4ns.com. Please say enough so we can find your request, for example the email address you used on the form. We may need to confirm it is you before we change or delete records. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or in Quebec to the Commission d'accès à l'information.
